The biggest benefit of this deal isn't about the money, it's that the signing confirms that:
- a customer sees the benefits of transitioning to ReRam.
- a customer chose Weebit instead of competitors.
- a customer is willing to share production-based revenue with Weebit (on top of engineering fees).
It's always the initial signings that will be the hardest, like Coby has already mentioned. No one likes being first and experimenting with something new. Since a customer has now taken the first step, it's a great indicator that many others will follow more easily and we'll continue getting fees from many sources over time. These deals typically last for years as well.
We can see now why Coby was confident in tying his compensation to signing multiple deals throughout 2025 (I think he said like 5 or 6).
A great start to the new year, it's going to be a big one for Weebit!
