I can recall Dadi saying something similar. To paraphrase, he said that once a number of different configurations of the memory module have been developed (presumably by customers paying for NRE for each required variation) there would be a library of these configurations from which further customers would be able to choose. He described this as a "low touch" way of doing business because it would need minimal or no work to accomodate each new customer's requirements from that point onwards. As you say Phantom, they would be buying off the shelf.
As I understand it, TSMC's offering consists of one product on its shelf and it seems to be available on a take it or leave it basis, with no customisation available. This should make Weebit's customisable ReRAM very attractive.
