How HotCopper works:

A man does due diligence on a company and is impressed enough to buy shares in it. Suddenly, something changes and they sell. Rather than move on with his life and spend time on things that add value like due diligence in other companies, building an asset base, spending time with loved ones, contributing to their local community, etc they return day after day to an online forum and shitpost to strangers about a company they used to own in a trumpeted white knight manner with no supposed self-interest. Nothing is done, that man continues to shitpost to strangers, and the other value adding things that could get attention continue to not get that attention.
