I am a believer in WBT, there are only two things I hope can be answered on here to put my overthinking mind at ease, as I have invested a lot in WBT.
There are 8 FABs in the world working in the 22nm range. If Flash can only reach 28nm range, this means there are 8 FABs already producing ReRam. I was sold on the idea that once ReRam was in production, goodbye Flash. This does not appear to be the case.
To back this observation up, the current ReRam market is $400m USD globally, and is predicted to grow to $660m USD by 2025. This means that FABs are already out there with ReRam chips in production, but the industry itself is only making $400m globally. So if WBT take up the whole market of ReRam off the current producers of ReRam chips in 2025, it is worth $660m. Lets say realistically WBT obtain 10% of the global market for ReRam, this is $66m annually, this is a lot less than I envisaged. I was of the assumption that ReRam was going to be worth in the Billions per year, but globally ReRam will not achieve $1B of turnover per year even if we look ahead to 2025. I have tried finding more positive outlooks but all forecasts, even the most positive do not envisage >$1B.
I encourage healthy discussion and alternative views
