    nxp s32k5 at 16nm finfet now competes with sram density - the macro is significantly optimized for area ( no sram ) and cost same reason
    nmram customers were prepared to put up with the density loss prior to this as the power saving in the persistent memory at start up was critical and becoming more so
    this upgrade corrects that situation with density equivalence

    wbt cost volume will undercut by a mile, provide the same and more performance efficiencies AND allow single chip integration across the entire auto software platform - that is a major cost advantage / need currently vacant opportunity aka 150 degree qual - the point i was making a few days back
    ch himself made the point several years ago correctly when he made mention that mram shielding would always keep them more expensive in the space
    wbt is also faster with multibit cell write - and getting better but as rogerst keeps reminding us no end user sales yet ......not far off imo

    something to think about
