Generally many fabs operate 22nm ...tier 1 and tier 2 moving at the opportunity
22nm foundry push has been occurring for a while and is heating up,,,, better performance metrics exist with superior cost benefit bottom line
Weebit compliment that equation improving production efficiencies as well as those bottom line profitability returns for the fabs / customers....as we know cheapest cost per bit allowing price flexibility into an expanding mass adoption market (att. Atiq Raza)....new and legacy fabs alike....

this node focus has been building since 2018/19 - 21/22 demand delirium has only served to exaggerate the opportunity
If weebit have something in mind on this 22nm gate it may well have something to with this noted sector acceptance that
foundries are using the opportunity to increase market share and customer base ....aka improved bottom line profitabilityWhy?

The emergence of FD-SOI, (fully depleted silicon-on-insulator) and its subsequent maturity over the years, has made it one of the seminal process advancements for low power semiconductor design. Although not as prevalent as the mainstream bulk CMOS process, FD-SOI has provided an important set of benefits to semiconductor product designers. These advances intersect with market demands for devices with more intelligence and better connectivity.
A wide opportunity for the foundries at the 22nm process is apparent but they face challenges......
WBT offer significant advantage to these processes and the market is substantial as we know - leveraging yet another potential market segment = $$$$$

28nm is suffering overcapacity atm....22nm is potentially filling an unmet need....better performance than 28 and cheaper than 16/14 finFet ( = perfect fit SiOx WBT)

Stay patient....interesting times as WBT 'expand' node R&D shrewdly aligned with foundry / customer trend and volume focus - all indicators are there is a great 2022 on the way with WBT and partners
