I have to admit to being a bit concerned about Intrinsic. They have now demonstrated cells at 50nm, so seem to be about 5 or 6 years behind WBT. Coby stated, in response to a shareholders question last year in a webcast, that they were looking into whether Intrinsic were infringing on WBT's patents. I haven't heard anything more, so I'm guessing the answer is no. From the layman's descriptions that I have read, there is no difference that I can see. It would be interesting to know the detail on that.
One thing we have going for us (besides first mover) is the Leti selector. This should prove decisive as we progress to development of bulk memory storage. However, for the moment Intrinsic a talking only of SoC applications where they could become a direct competitor. Let's hope first mover advantage wins out.
