the reason being the poster I replied to originally was asking about whether weebit ReRAM could replace memory.
being a researched individual with a solid understanding of the semiconductor market the poster would know that wbt ReRAM could only ever replace memory if it was as fast of not faster than memory.
And in all likelihood it would need to be faster. Because why risk adopting a new technology to replace memory if the performance is the same? It doesn't make sense.
Even then cycling endurance may be the limiting factor despite retention advantages for obvious reasons.
