Im no expert on the decision making process of the asx but perhaps because the announcement relates to
1) the announcement of a public demonstration of a previously publicly unseen new technology
2) the asx thought that this information is of material interest to the market and shareholders (and judging by the share price jump they were right) - this is only point that really matters
just thinking out loud though
