Automotive grade 1 means that it is rated for temperatures between -40°C to +125°C
Automotive grade 1 devices are typically considered suitable for installation in any part of the car except under the bonnet where it can get very hot

I'd guess that EVs don't require grade 0 since they don't have an ICE to generate high temperatures
