What happens as far as the production of the horizontal wells is very uncertain . They will be in search of areas of good reservoir quality . If Nature has put good reservoir where they plan to direct the laterals then the wells should have prodigious production ( I like alliteration , lol ) but if Nature has not been kind then the production may disappoint but should still be better than a vertical well . They may poke around in more directions than they have Announced if the drilling goes well and the first laterals fail to find the high quality reservoir they are hoping to find . What they are doing is quite different to drilling horizontals in tight conventional wells where a horizontal well automatically means multiples of production to a vertical well and a longer lateral means more production than a shorter lateral .
They are on a treasure hunt . They are looking for the sort of reservoir quality that they found in U1st that tested over 3000bopd . Let's hope that it is there and they find it .
