I think all posters are correct, some more so than others. To be sitting on cash is good, too much cash, bad. contrarian means to me that they can take a contrary or undiscovered position in any market, they don’t seem to have done that and seem to be sitting on their hands. A good dividend is good, but not out of capital and not at the expense of capital returns. The Australian Losers Fund ? I like that !!!!!!!!
i don’t know about the success of their US investments....... they seem to be going up and down in equal
percentages, so only time, and the narrative for a monthly report will tell the tale. Their monthly reports, I think, are quite informative; but I agree, since Garry Hui left, their investment mojo seem to have deserted them and they just seem to be in a holding pattern, with no clearly enunciated strategy to us the shareholders, and no clearly identified stock picking strategy to improve the SP and the capital returns.
