It's one thing not to capture the upside when the market is going crazy. You can always blame it on the common enemy - low interest rates, quantitative easing, tech... value being out of favour.
But then to crash when the market falls - more than the index. That's when I start scratching my head.
I am at a loss to know what is going on with their investment methodology.
It definitely shines a new light on a supposed long short fund strategy.
It also counters my thought process. I was thinking the time to shine for this fund would be when the market retreats - similar to early 2020.
Sadly, it's becoming a case of bad during the good times and...bad times.
Frustrating to say the least.
