It's a tough decision - do you cut and run - or wait out until the merger and see what happens.

Both VGI funds have been utter failures, but it would hurt to sell at such a steep discount.

I am holding onto both until the merger - and will then give it 24 months.

Probably a stupid decision, given they have failed for the past five years.

If there was an off market buy back at NAV, or even a 5% discount, I would sell out and move on.

This is the issue with closed funds, you really are trapped. And because of the general apathy shareholders have, and failing to vote, nothing changes.
