Morning cruiser, jophda, et al.
I will fess up to a few things here.
Firstly, i do consider myself to have 1/10th more than no understanding of oil and gas, and characteristics.
But, and get this, I am a lazy punter here on buru and to fully understand Ungani 1 & 2 i would have been sifting through anns from 2102 /2013/ 15. How did i end up in buru. Well many moons ago it was buy the drill and and sell the spud, and buru was a chart i had floating around in I.C. For some reason it looked absolutely flogged mid last year, hoots was prevalent and emotions were high (and this aint plv). Last account, was chit chat that U1 & 2 were going back into production. The numbers (bopd, soi) seemed reasonable. bought 25 to get it in the folio, and lost my virginity to Eric recently at 15.5. (maybe a couple handbags for ceo`s mrs, or a week of being rekt with multiple tarts for pio). Ceo presents some compelling numbers at times and the banter is of quality, when the good folk scrutinise the potential numbers and its makeup.
Thanks to cruiser yesterday (which highlighted to me that in turn, u1/2 verticals had been re-entered with horizontals implemented) mentioning that they are dry wells, and a little research points out the reservoir is not isolated from a water table (as such), hence the water cut being evident.
So that is my laziness being evident, and sort of a big short coming, really. However, maybe one or two have taken a feather for the quiver. Bit of ying for my yang.
Cruiser further highlights that sweet spot, which i can now appreciate with your addition jodpha "Because oil is hydrophobic it is very difficult for oil to flow through rocks that become water wet ."
(Last company I can remember having high water was icn which were de-watering at the start, but that was a different kettle of fish, being gas). So thinking as such, i assume you would be implicating damage, which would create isolated pools of which has been locked off by water mid way. Or where the water pressure is enough to displace the oil flow and impregnate that porous substrate, creating that isolation.
Really want to say a big thanks to the pair of you, for being patient, as i am sure a whiskey tango foxtrot, may have entered the noggin. The way you have addressed me has been well, brutherly like.
Left myself open to a proper reaming, no marge, nuthn. imo.
In a sense upon reflection, water as such is not a bad thing if combined efforts continue to hit these, sweet spots.
