I don't see it as that much of a problem, technically WLD is an aussie company yes. But if it picks up BRA cattle and takes it to the Viets we are no longer exporting AUS beef, it's someone elses beef.
So basically it's back to the business model. If a buyer in Japan wants aussie beef, WLD head down to Darwin pick some up and drop it off. Cash in the profits.
If the viets want some sub par, d grade beef they can get it from BRA...
That cow that was being killed didn't look like A grade steak to me....
I do feel sorry for the animals, but it's not up to our government, it's not up to WLD, it's up to the ab's and also the individual to treat animals kindly. It shouldn't have anything to do with the export business.
I'm holding on, I don't care if I have a loss, there are mouths to feed across asia, they have money coming in and making profit, it's a 30 year old business. In 2-3 years time everyones going to look back, WLD might have a few more ships and be like wow I could have had this for 40 cents now it's 5 bucks.
All these things are short term.
