You might be referring to the quote “don’t fall in love with your stocks, they don’t love you”. That’s certainly true and rings loud when a market darling falls from grace. This sale was achieved at what I think was a premium valuation so perhaps love does have a price! ARB is another company with similar management quality and focus on fundamentals but extremely difficult to buy for anyone with a value overlay.
