The price had a great run last three weeks and was in the $1.30s range not long ago. Probably caught management off guard a little, not expecting the price to run up to $1.60 so quick. At least the share price didn’t cave in before the announcement/trading halt, which is very often the case and indicative of people/institutions trading with insider knowledge. Ultimately, if you want 100s of millions of dollars, and you’re operating in West Africa, you’re going to have to pay the price. It is disappointing, but I felt the exact same way when the share price was 25c many years ago.
