The infection of four ministers in Burkina is symbolic but not material. What is material is that Burkina has been rising on the list of most affected countries in Africa. I do hope they will get things under control, and that is actually my main motivation for talking about it. Has anybody mentioned here that South Africa has ordered a suspension of all mining for 3 weeks? To me, that's not a crazy idea if they can use that time to get the situation truly under control and put in place ongoing safety measures. Remember WAF has started producing gold ahead of schedule, so a temporary pause in production might have no negative impact on financial projections. Btw I want WAF to succeed as much as anybody here.
