Where things get really, really interesting is when you start to analyse the geopolitical landscape in relation to niobium...
Management here are very conservative, and rightfully so, so they never discuss this but the West needs Nb for defence. It's critical for aerospace, missile systems, radars and electronics. It's critical for healthcare given it's used in MRI machines. Nb is essential for offshore oil and gas rigs because of its non corrosive properties. China owns 100% of niobium processing. They own an enormous stake of CBMM and enjoy an increasingly close relationship with the Brazilian government. That's why Niobium is number 2 on the US's most critical minerals list and number 4 four for the Europeans. When it comes to critical minerals they want a mine and a reliable processing source *fast* in a Western jurisdiction
