I think the whole idea of carbonatites is that they are weathered rocks anyway, and they are beneficiated more by weathering as well. More weathering might equal a higher grade. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
It is good that there is a lot of expertise in processing carbonatite ores in WA - currently at Mt Weld they have a floatation plant processing the same ore type. Lynas might like adding some Nb compounds to the product range. Diversifies their income sources. They can process more Luni when Niobium prices are higher, and more Mt Weld when REEs are higher.
