Have you read the room? Have you noted the changing zeitgeist since the Voice referendum was floated and since it was knocked back?
Clearly the company has a view on what respectful generous partners WA1 will be for the NT owners... providing some " royalties, employment opportunities and infrastructure upgrades" which is so, so, mmmm... so 2000s.
Maybe the traditional owners living in destitute poverty aren't as concerned with "preserving the traditional way of life of the Ngururrpa people" as perhaps moving to a new more rewarding way of life with some actual ownership of 'their' resources. In the end it will be the activists and representatives in Canberra and Perth who decide what he Ngururrpa really want and deserve. I strongly suggest the days of mining companies doing private backroom deals Twiggy Forrest Fortescue style with the locals is now past...
We all have different opinions and only time will tell on the NT issue.
