IIRC the daily gross shorts reported another 36k on Monday and 54k on Tuesday last week, yet we have only a total of 4k new shorts between those days, meaning all the new shorts have been closed, which has to be cooperation between the parties, and not 'real' trades.
It's exactly the type of manipulation that ASIC should be investigating, but never bothers to because it involves the BEOT, not some poor small schmuck they usually go after.
I'm pretty sure management of WA1 would have noticed this as well and hopefully they get ASIC to investigate.
