Clear Sentinel images 24th and 29th Dec for Luni.
As expected no disturbances 24-29th
Some work happened in central Luni between 14-24 Dec. on previously prepared sites presumably prior to a shut down.
Not much and posted only as a lead in to a summary of drilling in 2024 using Google Earth data dumps and sentinel timelapse imagery.
2022 - 3 holes
2023 - c225 - mix of RC and diamond plus a few tails.
2024 - c56 holes (reported with assays to 14/11/24 - c37 DD; 7 Sonic; 9 RC and 3 AC - including tails.)
2024 - c 110 holes to be reported (mix mainly of shown as drilled on map plus a few sentinel interp holes post early November)
2024 - c 170 holes all up with Diamond dominant in the early part of the year and then an increasing number of RC holes later. Sonic rig plugged away but does not appear to have been very productive. An AC rig spent some time on site - ??why.
The above are estimates which are likely to be close but treat with care and DYOR.
WA1 will release results well into 2025 if last year's announcement timing is repeated. The final holes for 2023 were put out in early June 24.
Google Earth interp of 2024 drilling ONLY
Far from perfect. Three areas of focus this year.
- Mostly X and east
- Center South later in the year
- A few holes in far West Luni along with significant access and site prep south of ENR's Emily prospect with 320m spaced lines and 160m spaced sites along fences.
- 3 RC holes may have been drilled SW of P1 prior to the RC rig coming to Luni.
Data Dump for all drilling at Luni. Blue and red outlines = phoscorite from MRE geology.
White dots 2023 collars.
Some timelapse imagery.
Tried to put more in a PDF but do not show frames moving.
Luni true colour Feb-Dec monthly
Note some of the changes are related to site rehabilitation.
Central south area in detail
Coverage/spacings gradually getting to 100x50 but still some work to go before like the eastern area. Initial (2023) grade thickness for holes in this area is quite impressive IMO. May it continue.
X area and east.
Central axis here is basically 100x50 or less spacing which will give indicated to measured IMO.
==================
Where to in 2025?Quite a lot and probably more.
- Complete infill in the central south area.
- Depending on results extensional around the areas drilled in 2024.
- Gap between the east and central?
- Testing west towards and south of Emily to see what happens to Luni in the West.
- Ditto to the NE towards Green (c700m of strike between isolated high grade holes)
- Testing to the south east margin of Luni to see what happens to high grade Nbx and REE's in this area.
- AC drilling to rapidly evaluate the margins of Luni for future larger rig follow up?
Updated MRE's will require assays and geology models. Former probably more time consuming and likely to control timing up to a cut off date (perhaps).
Surprises? Some probably but the 2023 drilling and assays probably constrain most dimensions and perhaps even grade range.
Hopefully some nice and unexpected ones going forward.
