Just an addition to the future use of Niobium, that I thank @2ic for making me think about, is that as the world tries to go 'greener', less carbon in making the steel will become a priority, which means a lot more structures like wind turbine towers will require Niobium in the steel structural component. This will spread to pretty much everything.
In 5-10 years Niobium wont just be in 10% of steel products, it will be required in most, meaning much greater growth in Niobium use overall. It's a product of the changing times and to be 'seen' to be going green as much as anything. All 'green' steel will use niobium allowing less over tonnes of steel to be used in every structure.
With increasing supply/availability, how long before governments in countries that have signed cO2 protocols, demand (as in make law), compulsory use of 'greener' steel??
