I don't buy the market manipulation theory. It is easier to manipulate a stock price when there is no liquidity or depth. We had nearly 35mn shares changed hands so far today. To move a stock 17% on 35mn volume would be quite a manipulation. To me, it's a pretty convicted sell sentiment. Look, it could just be profit taking after big rise last week, or reaction to Macca report. As you said, who knows?
