the fault naturally creates a nice slope for the gas to naturally rise to the high points (overpressure systems like WE 3 can be fed from source shale and sediments over massive distances upto 400km away) the channel running to the north east probably helps also (the deep dandaragan trough lies to the east)
gas would migrate up to the high points (blue highlight below showing deeper up dipping permian) then the pink high light fault lines(above) then act as capillary veins
