Their are plenty of examples of Companies sitting on take over offers. STX have not provided an update since the 26 May whish is highly unusual given the amount of announcements on prior drilling. BPT share price was going up nicely early in the week and now being pushed back down again.
I think BPT would be wanting to add STX to increase its position in the basin. Something has to give soon.
The next announcement will be great news.
