Agree that the sanding problem is good for a high rate flow test and bodes well for production. I suspect STX was trying to top the record flow rates at Waitsia and may have over-done the perforated section and/or opened up the choke a bit too quickly.
Sand production was reported in many of the Waitsia flow tests - Baker Hughes and Mitsui even puublished a paper on it at APPEA 2020 conference. Maybe STX missed it or chose to ignore the experience of others.
According to the paper all Waitisia development wells will have sand control and the facility will have sand catchers.

This is easily fixed but STX might not get to > 100 MMSCF/D on this well..
