A few bits of news I'll provide as points without interpretation:
1 Jan 2020 Indonesian ban on unprocessed Ni comes into effect.
Against the extended trend, jump in Ni warehouse inventory on the LME in the past couple of weeks.
IGO bid for PNA dropped, with a concurrent drop in price to 30c when PAN, raised more funds to funds it's (troubled) nickel project.

Now that you've woken up to my lack for comment is because I don't know what it means.

I get the feel progress on EV's is slower than expected especially autonomous vehicles with commensurate lack of demand pickup in Ni usage. However, the trade deal trumps that. Please don't thank the Donald (he's too busy taking credit himself) it's despite him not due to him, largely money/credit supply (with the nasty quid-pro-quo the piper [potentially] to be paid).
