With such chalcopyrite/pyrite/quartz veining that is usually found around or with gold/copper mineralisation, the conditions for finding an excellent deposit are much better after this announcement. A lot of gold/copper wouldn't have to be found in this core but at least nearby.
So either the market is dumb, maybe expected more or it's not as confident as GK. But odds are better for finding a substantial deposit I would have thought ... the early price rise could have been interested buyers understanding this and afterwards the traders sold it down because they expected a better run. ?
