The silver grade at Kempfield is too low to be economic. There are a series of companies (6 by my count) that have gone broke mining open pit silver at less than 100g/t from the Wonawinta and Texas deposits. The silver price would have to be >$40/oz at least. The future for Kempfield is to find the Cu Pb Zn +/- Au massive sulphide deposit at depth. This is a real possibility.
