What is nice about this deal? WGX has just borrowed another $21m, and are continuing to bleed money on their ramp ups.It is a better deal then their other GPP since its at a higher price (lower effective interest rate) but it is still a loan that must be repaid, in this case in gold payments rather than cash. I wonder is settlement is on a cash basis? The fact that they have hedging in place at a higher price than the GPP is a plus, but its normal for a company to have such hedging in place, and the decision to hedge should be made irrespective of any borrowings.
