I think I was too early to pat WBC on the back; my super is in pension mode, so this is all about picking up franking (as you guys note); but, as some of you said, there are other ways; they could indeed do a special divi and let the receiver choose the mix of captial and dividend (I have seen BHP and RIO, with big o/s holders, do that)
And one wonders why they simply could not have finished it next week - and just that most people would sell back at 10%, if that is the level the bar falls upon. They seem to be 'assuming' their share price will rise. Hmmmmm ASS U ME
