    if that is the case then they are very inexperienced investors who have no clue about investing. if they think it will drop a lot after the div is paid, why would they wait for the div. the franking credits would not be worth it. westpac will get itz costs unxer control eventuly hopefully and will be rerated. and to the people wbho thknk shorters are the cause ofnthe propbelm then keep in mind the shorters will have to buy back eventually. but i dont tbink shorters have got anythk g to to with thiz. tis a bit silly to say itz because of shorters.so e peop,e watch too much tv mayve. you can che k thebshort interest on the asx
