So, does it mean one can buy tomorrow and sell back to Westpac and still get franking credit?
I read the document again and it says the closing date for the buyback is 17th Dec. So, we can assume that the real action would not start until 20th Dec. So, we will have 45 days of shareholding if one buys tomorrow? It does not matter if you only buy a small number of shares worth under 20k. The dividend part of the buyback won't exceed the 11k limit for small shareholders.
