Boomer, Thank you for jolting my memory about the pros and cons of advertising.
I had forgotten where the couple of hundred thousand I throw at advertising each year goes.
I'm not certain about the middle aged red necks you refer to, however I do move tens of thousands of people around our wonderful country annually. Most of them miners, indigenous FIFOs , lots of middle aged Australian men and women.
All hard working, all in debt , all own their own homes , all supported by a bank or a financial institution of one kind or an other. I would assume these wonderful hard working Aussies would be great customers for banks.
On the other hand we do get to meet a few wokies whom believe the world owes them a living.
Give me the hard workers every day of the week. They work , they earn , they spend.
Westpac is increasing its exposure to the new home owners.
The same people I have described above.
I would have thought perfect candidates for any financial institution.
But then I've been wrong before Boomer.
