Nothing to do with the off market buyback. The off market buybacks benefits the largest holders anyway - pension funds. They are supportive of these and utilise franking credits that are accumulated off balance sheet. It’s an EPS benefit to you if you actually understood it.
Maybe actually read their report. It wasn’t good. Expenditure is out of control and NIM is down and trending down. In short profitability is declining, specially in the second half. They have a lot of work to do to turn this around, hence risk which the market doesn’t like.
It’s a hold for me. depending how NAB reports, banks might all take a bit of a whack. I’ll let the dust settle in the sector before buying more.
