WBC’s net interest margin(NIM) is one of the highest, on par with CBA, better than NAB and AnZ. I suspected shorters got squeezed on the day when wbc announced completion of off market buy back. Shorters covering up their positions. Expect Wbc will recover back over 25 at least, imo, in coming weeks. RBA will raise interest sooner than later should AUD stays low 70.
