So you know which aspects of the Westpac operation are manned offshore? I am speaking with my data security hat on, which I bought in a previous life.
I am interested in how Westpac compares to the market standard, it appears they may be exposed to an above average level to offshore activities reading between the lines of your first post.
Overseas coding is often cheap because it is sloppy, which can create data reliability and security issues. I guess that is another discussion for another forum. I am in no way suggesting or implying Westpac has security issues. We pick apart companies to be aware of their weaknesses ao that we only enter into an investment in which we understand the riska and can react if they grow. Westpac appears to have issues around regulation oversight of its internal and external policy breach flagging processes/syatems, if this makes sense.
Part of this has been mitigated with the shut down of their payment service which until recently was being exploited globally by paedophile groups and others.
