Compared to the WBC's "notable items" ann this time last year... 24 October 2022 Westpac’s Second Half 2022 (2H22) notable items Westpac today announced that its reported net profit and cash earnings in 2H22 will be reduced by $1.3 billion (after tax) due to notable items.
I took today's announcement... 26 October 2023 Westpac’s Full Year 2023 (FY23) Notable Items Westpac today announced that its reported net profit after tax in FY23 will be reduced by $173 million due to Notable Items, significantly lower than FY22 Notable Items of $874 million. .... as relatively positive. However as suspected, 'Mr Market' marked WBC down for it and IMO provided a good buying opportunity, which I took advantage of buying in the 20.50's today. For my 2 cents worth BTW.... my divvie prediction / guestimate is in the range of 71-75c and if I have to call one number, I'd say 74c. Ofcourse only my opinion but reckon we can be sure that we'll all know the exact divvie on the 6th of November
