The value of a company like this is never going to be the value as thigs stand now - Just like the current share price is based on the future earnings potential to some extent.
I have not tried to calculate the value of WCL but I'm sure that the bidder has. And as they've had access to the 'data room' I would be surprised if these reserve upgrades the market has received are anything new to the bidder. I would expect that the 52c bid would have been made with a very clear idea of what is to come in the next 12-18 months and based their bid accordingly. Doesn't mean that it's not stupidly low, but I doubt these reserve upgrades give WCL much extra bargaining power.
Just my thoughts and happy to hear others...
