is it even possible that ....

..... the USA market is losing its pre-eminence as the most important financial driver in the world?

From my position outside the ring, it seems to me that the markets of Europe, Asia and even Oz are doing their own thing irrespective of the 'happenings' on Wall St.

There also appears , to my untrained eye, to be much more of a correlation between the European, Asian and Oz market movements than there is between them and those of the USA.

Perhaps to those outside America, the impression of sensibilty of US market movements has greatly changed.

Just my current thinking is all.
