The first thing a doctor says to a parent of a diagnosed asthmatic child is “monitor your child for wheeze” as an early sign that the condition may not be adequately controlled. It is very difficult for a parent to subjectively monitor a child’s wheeze (hence the value of an objective monitoring device)

Just one of the many concepts he can’t get his head around. Wheezo is not designed to diagnose asthma attacks. It is a device to enable a diagnosed asthmatic (or their parents/carers) to more effectively manage their condition, and make sure their symptoms never flare to the point of an attack. If you wait for an attack to act, sadly it can be too late and result in death.

You can't diagnosis young children with Asthma and the gold standard to diagnose Asthma is the spirometry, wheezing doesn't mean you have Asthma or even Asthma attack. Why do you think RSH has commissioned study in the UK to demonstrate the usefulness of monitoring wheeze.
