have you ever worked there? I'd assume not? The shaft can handle the tons if that's all its doing... its only got one hoist system not 2 and in a mine that's constantly doing rehab to existing older workings the shaft is often a bottle neck for both mining and maintenance in the mine trying to work together. If the second winder was built like it should have been in morningstar days it wouldn't be as much an issue.. I recall good days being about 30 ton brought up a day and that was with stuff all interruptions to production. They wanted to hit a target of 60 tons a day or more .
