the reason why I have a hold and not buy is because both sol and Bkw forms significant part of my portfolio….
i remember buying sol at $12 and at that time thinking it’s such a low yield stock with a gross yield sub 5% when you can get way better yield stocks on the market …. Rest is history… sol will always trade at low yield … and now maybe a good time to add, I remember I tried to add to sol during COVID but the share price barely dropped as compared to other stocks and the index… so in the time of panic, sol may not be the best stock to buy, it maybe a better time when the stocks are rising …
I see the majority of their investment l decisions made being quite good, we had some awful investments and not selling out of tpg at peak is probably one of them too but I do think their nextgen investment into uranium and also private market debts shows that they can see ahead of 90% of other market participants ….
i do feel safe having my money with them, more so knowing that Milner never sold a single share in sol or Bkw and majority of their family wealth are tied up with the company….
their financial position and balance sheet is also something to be envy of…. I know I cannot invest better than them, so it’s good they are doing the work for us …
todd imo is a much better operator than Tom and he is so young… the company seems to be in safe hands …..
