@Equitable I thought the "global equities" comment was a bit strange too but ended up interpreting it the other way around (meaning MLT shareholders will now get global exposure through SOL as they have some overseas pharma holdings and the stake in PIA etc.). In the AFR article talks about this deal giving SOL "extra firepower" for opportunities which again would suggest they want to sell down the holdings. As a long term SOL holder I would honestly rather them stick with the model of having a handful of large investments (even if the "big three" of NHC/BKW/TPG was to become the big 5 or 6) rather than being overly diverse. I think if us holders want that kind of thing we can always go and buy AFIC or ARG whereas SOL has always been far different.
