Generally late afternoon announcements, particularly after the close are either bad news or are neutral stuff like cleansing notices etc.
Good news is announced before the open or sometime during the morning session.
I think it's now too late for an announcement today, but I also think there will be a better share price towards the end of today's session in anticipation of an announcement tomorrow.
