    Typically it's going to be an mafic/ultramafic - basalt, amphibolite, schists. Many companies reference "greenstone" terrains, which includes all of the above. Occasionally you get metasediments surrounding the pegmatites in some deposits like Wodgina and Greenbushes.


    If you dig into the JORC table at the bottom, you'll find it's the metasediments of the Burrell Group. You'll also see the pegmatite is 20-30% spodumene, but make of that what you will.

    It would be extremely uncommon for pegmatites to create an alteration halo, the temperature and fluid types aren't hot enough or acidic enough. The alteration you've mentioned would be more typical for precious and base metal deposits.
