I'm amazed that the broader market doesn't (it seems) yet draw metrics from Core /CXO's share price performance and apply some sort of discounting back to LPM's share price.
On a post-raise basis: LPM MC~$35m, cash ~$10m and EV ~25m. We all know the proximity of LPM to CXO and visa versa, strong continuity of geology, mineralisation styles etc and both have exceptional proximity to port and infrastructure. CXO is a lot further down the track, MC~ $1.9B.
It's a timing issue, in my view - LPM has excellent opportunity to replicate CXO's successes; and has strong support at the shareholder/'potential offtake partner' level to do that. But let's discount for the sake of the argument LPM's likelihood by a factor of 75% … ie let's give them a potential MC~$500m. That's still a ~$4.30 share price on today's shares ...
Sure, there will need to be more shares issued to get there but LPM has got the lot. That's why I've decided to name my newborn baby 'LPM'.
